Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host Ty Pennington, who was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, just released the following statement:

"I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused."

What? He's not going to rehab???

It's the easy cure-all these days!!

Legally challenged Simple Life stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are the cover girls for the Harper’s Bazaar June 2007 issue.

“I think I get in more trouble just because of who I am,” Paris tells Harper’s Bazaar in an interview before her 45-day sentence in the slammer. “The cops do it all the time. They’ll just pull me over to hit on me. It’s really annoying. They’re like, ‘What’s your phone number? Want to go to dinner?’”

Adds the hotel heiress, “They just pull me over, and the paparazzi, of course, take a picture. All the time. I have so many cops’ business cards. If it’s the weekend, I have parties at my house because only cheese-balls go out on the weekend.”

Nicole was busted on DUI charges of her own back in December.

Reports The Daily News, “Wearing zebra-print outfits meant to resemble jail stripes the two starlets are pictured in a Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot running from models dressed as policemen.”

Harper’s Bazaar June 2007 hits newsstands May 22.

Spider-man stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard and Thomas Haden Church stop by The Today Show on Monday morning to promote their latest superhero flick.

According to Today, advance ticket sales for Spider-Man 3 are running three to four times higher than sales for Spider-Man 2, which opened in 2004. Better grab those tickets now!!

Kate Moss poses as a real-life mannequin in one of her gorgeous orange flowing dresses at the launch of her new Top Shop fashion line at the Oxford Circus store in London on Monday.

Hundreds of shoppers lined up for a sneak peek of Kate’s Top Shop range. Customers were able to try on a maximum of eight garments and were only allowed to purchase five of them.

And customers were only allowed 20 minutes to get all of their shopping done!

The Kate Moss collection for Topshop will go on sale at Barneys in the US on Tuesday, May 8.

Since when did Tom and Brooke become so buddy-buddy?

Tom Cruise, wife Katie Holmes, and unexpected guest Brooke Shields dine together at the South West Steakhouse in the Wynn Casino on Friday night.

The trio were with a party of eight for about four or five hours out on a patio overlooking the Wynn waterfalls.

In May 2005, Scientologist Tom condemned Brooke for taking antidepressants while suffering from postpartum depression. In August 2006, Tom privately apologized to Brooke for the incident, and she accepted. In November 2006, Brooke attended the wedding Tom and Katie’s wedding.

This has trouble written all over it!

PerezHilton.com reader Kathryn spotted none other than Britney Spears at Hollywood hotspot Teddy's on Saturday night.

And, she was with rumored rehab fling Howie Day!

Says Kathryn, "I was staying at the Roosevelt Hotel and had just gotten back to the lobby around 2:15 when Britney was leaving Teddy's with Howie Day. The two
of them, a huge body guard, and a security guy rushed through the lobby and out through valet into a waiting car. And, other than those weak boots she's always wearing, Britney looked great!! Skinny and really happy. Fingers crossed for a sick comeback!"

For those of you not familiar with Howie Day....

He's a musician. He was just in rehab with Britney.

In 2004, Day was arrested and charged over an incident in which he was accused of locking a fan in the bathroom of his tour bus and destroying the cellular phone of another.

And, in December 2005, Day was arrested in Boston after reportedly verbally abusing the flight crew while under the influence of alcohol and sleeping pills.

In other words, Howie's the perfect new boyfriend for Britney!!!
